Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DiscordFonts.net (“we”) collects when you use the site, and what stays on your device. The short version: the text you type is never sent to us, and we use Google Analytics to understand which tools and styles are used.

Text you type

All font conversion, colored text and symbol tools run entirely in your browser. The text you type or paste is not uploaded, stored on a server, or included in analytics. Analytics only records how long the text was, not what it said.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which features are useful. Google Analytics collects standard information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We also send these events:

• Which font style or kit was copied, and its category.
• Which category tab or example button was used.
• Search terms typed into the font search box (after you stop typing).
• The length of the text being converted (not the text itself).
• Which view of the Discord preview window was opened.

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off in our configuration, and we don’t use the data to identify you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Your choice about cookies

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. Elsewhere they are on by default. You can change your choice at any time:

You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The tools keep working either way.

Data stored on your device

The site saves a few things in your browser’s local storage so they persist between visits:

• df_favorites: the font styles you marked as favorites.
• df_recently_copied: the last few styles and the text you copied, for the Recently Copied shelf.
• df_consent: your cookie choice.

This data never leaves your device. Use the Clear button on the Recently Copied shelf, or clear site data in your browser, to delete it. The site also uses a service worker to cache its own files so it loads faster and works offline.

Clipboard

The site writes to your clipboard only when you press a Copy button. It reads your clipboard only when you press Paste, and your browser may ask for permission first.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, the minimum age for a Discord account in most countries, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. We don’t hold accounts or typed text, so most data exists only in Google Analytics in pseudonymous form. For any privacy question or request, email hello@discordfonts.net.

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
